Josephine Teo
Josephine Teo served as the Minister for Manpower and 2nd Minister for Home Affairs. She was the MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC since 2006. She had also served in various ministries including PMO, Finance, Transport and Foreign Affairs as Minister of State and Senior Minister of State. Josephine holds a Master of Science (Economics) degree from the London School of Economics. She is married with three children.
Heng Chee How
Heng Chee How was the Senior Minister of State for Defence and the MP for Jalan Besar GRC. He cared for the Whampoa community with devotion. He pushed for legislation to help older workers. He is a trade unionist and NTUC Deputy Secretary-General. Before entering politics, he served with the Singapore Police Force. He is grateful for the opportunity to meaningfully impact lives and livelihoods. He is married and has a daughter.
Denise Phua
Denise Phua was Mayor of Central Singapore. As MP, she served the residents of Kampong Glam Division since 2006. She speaks up regularly for the disabled, low-skilled and low-income groups. An avid learner, she was Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Education. Denise worked many years in the private sector in HR, training and development, and marketing. She was a full-time volunteer before joining politics. She is married with two children, one of whom has special needs.
Dr Wan Rizal
Dr Wan Rizal is a Senior Lecturer at Republic Polytechnic and has been volunteering in community work for the last 10 years. He wants to be able to play an active part in shaping Singapore’s future. Like many young parents from the sandwich generation, Rizal shares their concerns and aspirations for their children and ageing parents. This means ensuring quality education and healthcare for all Singaporeans. Rizal is married and has four children.
