DEAR RESIDENTS

It was a great privilege serving you, building and caring for our Whampoa community together.

In this past term, I secured 5 Home and Neighbourhood Improvement Programmes to rejuvenate our precincts. Whampoa Community Club was rebuilt. Sungei Whampoa was upgraded. Kallang Polyclinic is being built. The Silver Zone@Whampoa keeps pedestrians, especially our seniors, safe. The Town Council improved 38 facilities. HDB fitted lifts in all our multi-storey carparks. LTA added 3 new bus services to further improve our links. Bendemeer MRT station started operating.

Through house visits, activities, Meet-the-People Service, social media and speaking with residents, I feel your hopes and concerns.

My work with MINDEF and NTUC helps protect lives and livelihoods of our citizens. Together, we will overcome challenges, COVID-19 included.

Our Town Council’s exciting 5-year plan will bring more improvements. I will work hard with Government to increase F&B access for our growing population, and have more childcare and student-care for younger families. I will continue promoting seniors programmes and care for those in need. I will expand our linkway network and connectivity. I will strive for a clean, healthy, safe and secure community for you and your family.
