DEAR RESIDENTS

Dr Wan Rizal

We are living in unprecedented times.

The COVID-19 situation is complex and has affected many.

Like many parents, I share their concerns for the safety, wellbeing and future of their families.

As an educator, I am concerned for the future of my students and their future employment.

However, I am confident that with the right leadership and as long as we remain resilient, united and care for one another, this difficult phase will pass.

For the past 10 years I have been actively involved in community work, working closely with residents from all walks of life. Having diligently served the residents in Punggol East and Pasir Ris as a grassroots leader for the past three years, I am humbled to be given the opportunity to serve Jalan Besar GRC.

I intend to build on the good work by Professor Yaacob Ibrahim in Kolam Ayer. Over the past weeks, during our walkabouts, I have witnessed and am encouraged by the close kampong spirit in Kolam Ayer.

I believe in the importance of interacting with residents, to understand your thoughts, concerns and aspirations.

I look forward to your support.

Together, we shall continue to build a better and brighter future for all Singaporeans.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Wan Rizal
